On Monday 6th January Perry Court had the privilege of hosting a day of STEM for all the teachers in the region. Chloe Ferris, the Regional Science lead, did an amazing job co-ordinating the day, inviting Rolls Royce, the University of West England, the Creative Hut and Kate Powell (E-ACT) along to deliver exciting, innovative and fresh STEM activities and learning to teachers from nursery all the way up to Year 6.
The teachers got stuck in and had a great time taking part in tasks that they can take back to their classrooms, enabling them to teach science in a practical and fun way. Discussions took place about ways to support children in pursuing careers in science and technology and how the schools can work with STEM Ambassadors to encourage this.
Thank you to Rolls Royce, UWE, Creative Hut and Kate Powell for delivering training for the teachers – it was a great day!
