As always, the term has begun with a wow day to introduce our new stories to the children in Years 1 to 6. All teachers took part in a wow assembly, where we had explosions, spells, burglary, golden eggs and buckets of water!

In year 6, our text this term is ‘Kidnapped’. For our WOW day, we became detectives to find out who stole the Perry Court Gorilla. We visited the crime scene, hunted for clues and fingerprints and then analysed the evidence before deciding a verdict. In addition, we took our fingerprints and analysed them and had an introduction to our new fiction text.
