A massive well done to all the children this afternoon who took part in the Ashton Park Cross Country Championships 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ the children all ran incredibly well in the sun against lots of South Bristol school children. ☀️ In each race there were around 60-80 children.
We had some stand out performances from our children. In the Y3/4 girls race Olivia D finished 4th and Lilly C came 8th. In the Y5 girls the top three places were Darcy 8th, Layla 21st and Emily 22nd which as a team they came 3rd 🥉 in the Y6 boys race Justin came 4th. Gracey L in Y6 girls race came 12th.
Y5 and Y6 children who finish in the top 20 are selected to represent the South Bristol team on Saturday 23rd November at the Inter Area Cross Country Championships. Well done to Darcy, Justin and Gracey on their selection! Emily and Layla are both reserves for the Y5 team and will take up a spot if any other children in the top 20 become unavailable.
