Monday 5th July 2020

Dear Parent/Carers,

I hope my message finds you and your family well.

Many of you will have seen the latest government announcement on schools and academies fully re-opening in the new academic year come September 2020.

We have since received considerable guidance from the government which we will be using to form the basis of a full re-opening plan. We know that current restrictions on group sizes will be lifted, but measures to reduce the risk of transmission will remain in place. Children will for example be kept in class or year group sized ‘bubbles’ and a continued strong focus on regular cleaning will remain.

My note to you today is simply to reassure you that we will do everything we can to ensure that our pupils and staff return to the safest possible academy environment in September. I’m aware that many families are naturally feeling uncertain about what lies ahead, so we will also be sending you a comprehensive guide detailing the measures we plan to take in advance of fully re-opening our academy.

In the meantime, we will continue to ensure the children of our key workers, our most vulnerable pupils and the year groups chosen for early return have a safe place here at the academy during the day, and our children at home have the support they need from their teachers.

I thank you again for everything you are doing for our academy, and I will be sure to keep in close contact with you so you have all the information you need about our plans for re-opening.

As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with us in the usual way.

Yours sincerely,

Ms. Reynolds

Headteacher
