Perry Court E-ACT Academy is about start a new adventure for our pupils, staff, parent/carers and the community.
At Perry Court E-Act Academy work will begin in October and it will be completed by May 2022. It is worth £9.3 million. The new academy, designed by DKA Architects, will provide 45 nursery and 630 primary places.
It is being constructed on the existing playing field, so the team building the school can work with the school staff, pupils and community while they are building it to make sure we get it right for everyone!
This week Skanska are aiming to start putting up the hoarding, to outline the site of the build. Hoarding is the use of boards, fences or other standing structures to signal and secure the boundary of a construction site.
When this is being put up it is important that all people on the site – children, parents/carers and staff – must stay well away of work.
As the work begins, Skanska are going to be working with Ms. Reynolds and the team to make your new school just right – for you!
Skanska will also be sharing lots of photos and videos of the build as it progresses. There will be regular updates and we will keep you all informed to ensure that the children and any visitors are safe on site!
