Year 2 had a visit from an engineer called Alex who works for Babcock to do some work on our Year 2 science topic of materials. The children were tasked with building a bridge strong enough to hold a 100g pack of Supernoodles; the challenge being that they only had 5 sheets of newspaper! They then also conducted an experiment and tested how temperature affects the strength and properties of materials such as rubber bands.
They loved working as scientists. Thank you to Alex and Babcock for supporting the school.
