E-ACT Perry Court Academy in Bristol has been judged good in every category following their Ofsted inspection in January 2022.

This is the first time that E-ACT Perry Court Academy has been inspected since joining E-ACT in September 2017. Since then, the academy has undergone changes in senior leadership, with the current headteacher, Stephanie Moore, being in post since September 2021. The academy has also moved into a brand-new building in January 2022, adding 50% capacity, making the school three form entry, as well as excellent teaching facilities. In addition to this, there is an increased capacity for the nursery and reception class.

This fantastic achievement is all the more impressive given the community that E-ACT Perry Court Academy serves, with 46% of pupils eligible for pupil premium.

In their report, inspectors note that leaders and staff “create an environment where pupils feel listened to and valued.” According to inspectors, “pupils know that adults will help them if they have any worries. As a result, they feel safe in school.”

Inspectors also noted that teachers “have thought carefully about how they deepen pupils’ knowledge and skills over time” and that they are not complacent but “continue to make improvements to the curriculum where they can.”

Stephanie Moore, Headteacher at E-ACT Perry Court Academy says:

“I am delighted that E-ACT Perry Court Academy has been recognised as good in every category by Ofsted. This achievement is thanks to the hard work of E-ACT regional and academy staff, who always aim to do the best for our pupils. I am proud that Ofsted commented on the positive environment that our staff have created for pupils, and I am honoured to be part of the academy. I’m excited to work more closely with our community as we continue this journey.”

Tom Campbell, Interim Chief Executive at E-ACT says:

“The positive comments made by Ofsted inspectors about E-ACT Perry Court Academy are a testament to the hard work and efforts of our academy and trust staff, pupils, supportive parents and local ambassadors. E-ACT Perry Court Academy is in a fantastic position to build on the many strengths highlighted by Ofsted.”

E-ACT has eight primary academies in the Bristol area, with all of them working closely together and sharing resources to ensure that all pupils have access to excellent teaching.
