Fabulous Fridays are an opportunity for parents to visit their child’s class for 15 minutes to see how their children’s learning is progressing and to give them a few comments about how proud they are about their children’s learning.
It truly kicked off this morning! Year 6 had over 20 parents visiting between 8:45 and 9:00 which is brilliant. The parents used the heart shaped post it notes to write a note to the children on their favorite pieces of work and were very impressed by the high standards the children showed. Any children who didn’t have a parent representative swapped with a friend and found their favorite piece of work. The parents who visited left with a handout which summarised the learning in each of the core subjects and gave some useful websites to try to get parents more engaged with home learning. We can’t wait until Year 5’s go in a few weeks!
