On Monday 2nd July all the children in the school were involved in map reading, digital orienteering, history workshops, puppet shows and much much more.
A highlight of the day was a visit from Bristol Orienteering Klub, with representatives from the England Orienteering Team, who supported the children during the map reading activities. It was a great opportunity for them to try something new and exciting with their class mates, on a wonderful sunny day.
Key Stage 2 children took part in workshops – related to their topic learning about Saxons and Tudors – exposing them to a fun and interesting drama experience.
Key Stage 1 enjoyed a puppet show, learning all about Bristol Heritage (Brunel, Cabot and The Bristol Giants).
EYFS spent some time in their new classes completing a flag hunt, where they had to match up the flags to their countries.
Just another fantastic day at PCEA!
