At Perry Court E-ACT Academy we believe that good pastoral support is essential to make our pupils feel both safe and happy. We aim to build trusting and empathic relationships with all our pupils and their families.

All pupils are given both the time and skills to ensure that they can be expressive about their feelings in our PSHE programme, Jigsaw. We understand the importance of enabling the voice of the child to be heard to promote safeguarding and wellbeing.

The school Thrive Mentor works with students so they can lead fulfilling and balanced lives at school and beyond. Supporting children to understand their individual needs and worries allows them to look after themselves and others.

The school Behaviour Support Officer supports children throughout the school, guiding them in social situations and incidents that may need them to understand and manage their behaviour differently.

Pastoral care underpins personal development to help students feel they belong and enable their self-esteem to flourish, as they feel valued and cared for. Supporting the pastoral needs of pupils may involve working with external agencies. In these situations we ensure that a confidential, professional, non-judgmental and sensitive service is provided.

If you are struggling and feel you need some advice or support for your family, you can call First Response directly on 0117 903 6444.
